Falls’ 9-10-year-old All-Star baseball team competed last weekend at the District Tournament at Gunn Park in Grand Rapids and finished with a record of 1-2.
In the opening game Aug. 12, the Falls All-Stars beat Hibbing. On Aug. 13, the team lost a hard-fought game to Deer River. On Aug. 14, Falls lost another well-played game to Itasca.
“Overall, the kids played very hard, had great attitudes and we had a lot of fun,” said Falls All-Star coach Josh Koenig. “ We hope that they continue to work on their baseball skills and look forward to another fun and exciting season next year.”
