The International Falls Fusion 12U softball team swept a road doubleheader Wednesday against the Hibbing Blue, 20-4 and 18-5.
Emily Treat was the winning pitcher in the first game lasting three innings. Allison Taschuk, Alexis Graves, Marissa Kerry, and Janet Humbert split the pitching duties in the second game that went four innings.
At last weekend’s tournament in Bemidji, the Fusion ended up 1-3, losing to the Bemidji Blaze, Becker Blast and Brainerd Warriors, before beating Grand Forks.
The Fusion are now 5-3 in league play and 3-6 in tournament action for an 8-9 overall record. Falls will host the Hibbing White at 5:15 p.m. next Wednesday at Falls High School for the regularly scheduled season finale.
