‘Bass Dash’ 5K starts registration
Preregistration is now underway for the “Bass Dash 5K Run/Walk” to start at Smokey Bear Park at 9 a.m. Aug. 27, the Saturday of the seventh annual International Falls Bass Championship.
The run/walk entry fee through Aug. 16 is $20, which includes a T-Shirt and a spaghetti dinner being served the evening before the event. The fee increases to $25 after Aug. 16.
Registrations may be made on-line at www.ifallsbass.com, or at the Chamber of Commerce or Stride Fitness.
The Bass Dash 5K Run/Walk is being held for the first time in conjunction with the annual fishing tournament. Awards will be presented to the top three males and females in each of the seven age divisions.

Bronco volleyball to begin next month
The Bronco volleyball “captain’s practice” will be held Aug. 8-12 from 9-11 a.m. for grades 7-12 in the Falls High School gym.
The Bronco volleyball sign-up and eligibility meeting is set for Aug. 10 at 6:30 p.m. for grades 7-12 in the FHS cafeteria. Athletes must be present with at least one parent or guardian.
Bronco volleyball tryouts are scheduled Aug. 15 from 9-11:30 a.m. and 12:30-2:30 p.m.

Jr. High preseason football practice set
Preseason workouts are set for next week for boys going into grades 7-8 interested in playing football this fall.
The workouts will be held Aug. 1-5. Boys should meet at Bronco Arena at 9 a.m.

HOF meeting Aug. 3
The group working on setting up an athletic hall of fame at International Falls High School has its next meeting set for Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the FHS cafeteria.
