Establishing an assigned fund balance for the purpose of receiving donations for an athletic hall of fame presently being planned at International Falls High School will be up for consideration Monday by the Falls School Board.

A group comprised of FHS Athletic Director Don Rolando, Bronco sports booster and math teacher Timm Ringhofer and a few others began meeting in April in an effort to turn the hall of fame idea into reality.

The group is seeking to cover its start-up costs through fund-raising. Upon receiving board approval, an account would be set up where donors could make charitable contributions to the Bronco Hall of Fame project.

A fund-raising letter as well as a form to nominate people for the hall of fame have been planned for two upcoming FHS alumni newsletters.

The details on determining who to induct in the hall of fame have yet to be finalized, though the group is planning on setting up a seven-member selection committee for that purpose.

The group has set its next meeting for Aug. 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the FHS cafeteria.
