Two women from the International Falls area were among the 33 entrants competing earlier this month in the Bigfork Valley Challenge half marathon.
Linda Belanger, 43, placed second among women 40-49 in 1 hour, 54 minutes and 53 seconds. Dawn Ross, 46, of Duluth, edged out Belanger for the top spot in that age category by 7 seconds.
The other woman from the Falls area, Audie LaBlanc, 44, completed the 13.1-mile course in 2:18:34.
The top female and overall winner for the half marathon, Shantel Danielson, 31, of Pengilly, finished in 1:30:07.
