When International Falls native and former Minnesota offensive tackle Frank Youso joined several other Vikings alumni at the Metrodome during halftime of Sunday’s contest against the Green Bay Packers, former defensive end Chris Doleman became the 19th member in franchise history to be inducted into the Vikings “Ring of Honor.”
Doleman was selected in the first round and fourth overall in the 1985 NFL Draft.
After his first two NFL seasons, Doleman had just 3.5 sacks.
However, he moved from outside linebacker to defensive end and developed into one of the best pass-rushers of his era.
Doleman recorded 150.5 career sacks and 44 forced fumbles in 15 seasons.
