SteveStavseth commented on Defeating marriage amendment critical

Thank you, Mary for your wonderful letter. It is about time to finally show some respect for the LGBT community and allow them the opportunity to marry, openly have children and to not have bigots look down on them. It is all about enjoying the diversity we have in the United States.

First of all, a hearty welcome to Debbie and her husband! Hopefully your first winter here in the Icebox will be mild but no promises! Keep your feet dry and your path shoveled and plenty of soup on hand, you'll need it.

Our town has been dying slowly over the past thirty years due t…

We are the gas stop on the way to Canada, with a lively summer rock and roll show and more federales than you can shake a stick at. I totally agree with you as to the decision the current doctors made. I guess they are taking their first rule to heart,"First do no harm". Except i…

As a fellow native, I, too, wonder why our small burg has so many dedicated law enforcers, but then I realized that we are one of the largest ports in the country (as told to us by our former mayor) until I look at the International Bridge and wonder how that can be when Canadian tourism has…

The author of the letter makes his valid points but as a member of the lignite industry, he also trying to protect the status quo, which provides him with a good job. Surely, in 2012, our country would be wise enough to find equitable ways to provide low cost electricity and protect our env…

This is another sign of the apocalypse. Trying to get attention by dropping your pants or shorts to "moon" your neighbor. Is this one of the Ten Commandments I missed? Or this a weird idea concocted from too much time on one's hands or perhaps, too much alcohol? And if people h…
