Acts Added To 2015 Minnesota State Fair Concert Series

Three additional evenings of entertainment are confirmed for the 2015 Minnesota State Fair Grandstand Concert Series sponsored by Sleep Number.

Patti LaBelle with special guest The Commodores will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 2. Tickets, which are $45, will go on sale at 11 a.m. Friday.

Lynyrd Skynyrd with special guest Collective Soul performs at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 3. The $42 tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.

A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor is set for 7:45 p.m. Sept. 4. Starting at noon Friday, the $25 and $32 tickets will be on sale.

The following 2015 Grandstand shows are currently on sale: Def Leppard with special guests Styx and Tesla, Aug. 27, only VIP package tickets are available; Carrie Underwood, Aug. 29, no tickets are currently available; Alan Jackson with special guest Brandy Clark, Aug. 30; Happy Together Tour 2015, Aug. 31; Meghan Trainor with special guests Charlie Puth and Life of Dillon, Sept. 1; Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson with special guest Sturgill Simpson, Sept. 7.

The Fireworks Spectacular, sponsored by Mazda, follows each grandstand show.

The remaining two grandstand shows will be announced between now and early summer. Fair fans and music enthusiasts are encouraged to sign up for the State Fair’s e-news at to receive concert announcements before tickets go on sale.

The Minnesota State Fair is one of the largest and best-attended expositions in the world, attracting 1.8 million visitors annually. Showcasing Minnesota’s finest agriculture, art and industry, the Great Minnesota Get-Together is always 12 days of fun and ends Labor Day. The 2015 Minnesota State Fair runs Aug. 27-Labor Day, Sept. 7.
